I'm impressed, I have to admit. Seldom do I encounter a blog that's both equally
educative and interesting, and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head.
The issue is something which too few people are speaking intelligently about.
I'm very happy I came across this during my hunt for something relating to
this. -

After refinishing it and installing a more plush interior, they showed
it in the 1959 Paris Auto Show with Talbot nameplates (Simca had recently bought Talbot).
For more information on prefab housing and related topics, check out the links on the next page.
Go on to the next page to learn about the changes the Simca Special's current owner has made to the car.
Learn about yet another owner's changes to the Simca Special in the next section.
Virgil Exner, Jr. -- designer of the Simca
Special -- was (and probably still is) a "purist" with regard to sports cars.
He has begun bringing it back to the condition in which it was
circa 1966, albeit with the Datsun engine still in place.
Another engineer/driver, Freddie Dixon, was responsible for
extensive improvements to engine and chassis tuning, creating a number of 'specials' that exploited the basic Riley design still further, and contributed
greatly to its success on the track.
